Woo! POP lo! Passed out from my BMT stint in Pulau Tekong on the 7th September 2005. Anyway, some more updates on what's happening in camp since I last posted. I continued to see fireflies on this island. The most shiok thing is to see a Shooting Star during a rest when doing my 16km route march! Then my 2.4km timing for IPPT further improved - managed to clear it in 10:46min. Then there's Standard Obstacle Course (SOC) whereby I can't clear the swinging bar (monkey bar) due to my sweaty palms and low rope. But who cares. Then there's SITEST, a 3 days 2 nights outfield thing whereby we have to clear 6 missions, given 6 different situations. This situational test is for people who want to go to commanding school to perform themselves to show their leadership qualities. As a slacker, I just did not perform myself during these 3 days 2 nights. heh heh :p and finally came the final 24km route march. Got blisters after completing the route march but it's okie because Tough Times Don't Last, Tough Men Do! Oh ya, not forgetting the graduation parade rehearsal. It's super xiong, standing and marching under the hot sun repeatedly for the whole afternoon. There are a total of 3 such sessions! Really got 'Chao Da' after each session!

On the night that I passed out, I had dinner with my parents. Then immediately meet up with Ah Bin, Tat, and Hong! Ah Bin is back in Singapore for a week after so many months in Thailand, of course must treasure the time with him! We went to GrapeVine Bar.Cage.Restuarant off Upper Serangoon Road to chill. Not a place but the table a bit small for 5 of us. Thanks Ah Bin for the treat of beer. He spent money like a rich guy this week!

The next day after POP, our section mates went in to JB together. We have our platoon sergeant and section commander joining us. However, our blur section commander cockup, tried to enter Malaysia with an expired exit permit or something. In the end, he cannot join us. Upon reaching there, a total of 9 of us split into 2 groups. Patrick, Andrew, Ronnie and myself went for KTV session while our platoon sergeant Lexis, De Hao, Lionel, Yew Yang and Yong Xi went for lunch and movie. After that, we went to Holiday Plaza to shop for awhile before going for a sumptuous dineer. Then returned home.

Last night, after dinner with my family, met up with Ah Hong and wife as well as Ah Tat at Joo Seng market / coffeeshop off Aljunied Road. Ah Hong picked me up while Ah Tat drove there himself. Upon reaching there, he suddenly decided to bring along his gf as well, so left Ah Hong and wife and myself at the coffeeshop. Then he called Hong, saying he need his help to send him home to get his van's other key because he cocked up, locked his key in the van when we reached the coffeeshop! So all of us sat in Ah Hong's car back to Ah Tat's place, got his key, went back to Joo Seng. We ate our supper while Tat went to fetch his gf. Initial plan after eating was to go Loyang Dua Peh Gong. However, we do not know the reason why after everyone finished their meals, Ah Tat wanted to go home. So we went separate ways, me with Ah Hong and wife, while Ah Tat with his gf. Ah Hong do not want to spoil the plan, so the 3 of us proceeded to Loyang Dua Peh Gong ourselves.

Reached there at about 2am. After praying we went to Changi Airport, wanting to see aeroplanes and take the skytrain. Reached airport slightly before 4am, went to skytrain station only to know that their service stopped at 1am. We then went to the viewing mall wanting to see planes, only to know that the place is under construction and will only be back by mid-September. That is Terminal 2.. If we go to Terminal 1, then there should be no problem. But there is problem going to Terminal 1 because the skytrain is not in service and we do not want to waste time walking over due to expensive carpark charges! After that, went to Macdonalds for and early breakfast (I did not eat cause I do not want to get fat by sleeping after eating! ). Reached home at 5+. What an eventful night. heh heh
